Friends of the Venerable English College, Rome

Welcome.

The English College, also known as the Venerabile, is a seminary for the formation of Roman Catholic priests for the dioceses of England, Wales and beyond. The seminary was founded in 1579.

There has been an English presence at this location since 1362 making it the oldest English institution outside England.
